Concrete Gazebo ‘Peacock Juice Box’

Concrete Gazebo is a Cambridge-based group of musicians who improvise together, including members of Kelvox1, Threshold Entities and nu tscd: .

The group has also been organising the free, open-to-all improvisation nights ‘Under The Concrete Gazebo’ at the Blue Moon pub in Cambridge since 2018.

The music on ‘Peacock Juice Box’ is the fruit of online sessions that have been taking place since the beginning of the first lockdown in 2020. It was mixed by the group and mastered by Stephan Mathieu (Schwebung Mastering).

Speak & Spell Records are proud to release their first ever Cambridge local album of the catalog so far. Bursting with fearless improvisation, Concrete Gazebo have somehow managed to manipulate space and time with their unusual approach to composition.

Each sound is in a world of its own yet it all feels apart of one concept. It's mind bending as the group make you feel like you're in the same room as them but at the same time you're watching them through some sort of time capsule.

Ultimately Peacock Juice Box is an escape from reality in a time where none of us feel like life is tangible.
